Tracks

Intermediate and Advanced Piano (Grades 4–8)

A minimum of one year playing experience is required. Campers will be placed into several different levels based on their ability. They should bring classical and/or sacred pieces they are currently working on to study in lessons and practice time and to perform in recitals. They'll also enjoy both private and group piano instruction along with a variety of basic musicianship classes in addition to strengthening note-reading and hand-eye coordination in handbell classes.

Intermediate and Advanced String Orchestra (Grades 4–8)

To apply for one of the string orchestras, campers must submit a two-minute video audition recorded on a phone or other device.

Your recording must include a scale and a short portion of a piece (maximum of 1.5 minutes) both demonstrating your highest level of playing. Specific audition and upload instructions will be sent within four weeks prior to the beginning of camp after your application has been received.

The string faculty will evaluate your audition and place you into the orchestra appropriate to your level. A minimum of at least one year of playing experience on your instrument is required for Intermediate Orchestra. Advanced Orchestra musicians must demonstrate skills in shifting to third position or above and a high level of musicianship.

Orchestra and chair placement will be confirmed on Monday of camp.

Intermediate Harp (Grades 4–8)

A minimum of one year playing experience is required. Campers will learn ensemble and performance skills and enjoy group and private instruction. Bring your current solo pieces to perform and work on in lessons; ensemble music will be sent at least 3 weeks in advance of camp. A limited number of harps (pedal and lever) are available for rent. Please email ahead for availability.

Intermediate Band (Grades 6–8)
