Get ready for a week of sweet creativity! Campers will explore the fun world of baking with kid-friendly recipes like chocolate chip cookies, colorful Funfetti cupcakes, Strawberry cream pie, and classic Rice Krispies treats. From mixing and measuring to decorating with fondant and icing, this camp is all about hands-on learning and delicious results. Perfect for inspiring confidence and creativity in your young chef!

  • Make cookies, cupcakes, and no-bake treats using simple, step-by-step techniques.
  • Practice measuring, mixing, and understanding ingredient roles.
  • Explore piping, frosting, and fondant shaping for fun designs.
  • Work together in Team Challenges.

General Information

When to Arrive

Full-day camps: Camp check-in each day is between 7:30–8:30 a.m. at the Elementary School Building for 2nd–5th and the Middle School Building for 6th–8th.

Half-day camps: Camp check-in each day is between 7:30–8:30 a.m. for morning camps and 12:00-1:00 p.m. for afternoon camps at the Elementary School Building for 2nd–5th and the Middle School Building for 6th–8th.

What to do When You Arrive

When you arrive on campus, follow the signs to the Elementary School for 2nd–5th, and the Middle School for 6th–8th for check-in on Monday. Camp staff will meet you and give the camp T-shirt as well as share a schedule for the week.

When to Depart

Full-day camps: Pick-up each day will be from 4:30–5:30 p.m. at the Elementary School for 2nd–5th, and the Middle School for 6th–8th.

Half-day camps: Pick-up each day will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. for morning camps and 4:30–5:30 p.m. for afternoon camps at the Elementary School for 2nd–5th, and the Middle School for 6th–8th.

What to Bring

All supplies needed for camp will be provided unless otherwise noted in each specific camp information.

Please note: BJU cannot be responsible for money, valuables or personal articles.

What to Wear

Long athletic shorts, jeans or pants, and T-shirts are the normal camp attire. Tennis shoes are recommended.

Lunch will be served in our dining common in an all-you-can-eat buffet style. Any food concerns (allergies, diet restrictions, etc.) can be noted in the online registration form.

Cell Phone Policy

Cell phones and personal devices are to be dropped off at the check-in desk for safekeeping and they can be picked up when your child is being checked out.

David Miller has worked in bakeries for over 30 years. For 10 of those years, he owned and operated a local bread bakery. David is a culinary arts instructor at BJU.
