Embark on the ultimate pizza adventure. This hands-on week of pizza creation explores diverse cultural expressions such as New York, Chicago, Neapolitan, Sicilian and other styles. Each young chef will craft the pizzas delivered daily to your family’s supper table. Our pizza journey will be documented with fun-natured social media experiments designed to create buzz and communicate persuasive ideas for promotions and marketing.

Activities

  • Receive hands-on instruction from communication and culinary arts professionals.
  • Gain proficiency in developing a variety of pizza doughs.
  • Visit and enjoy diverse pizza establishments.

General Information

Arrival/Departure

When to Arrive

Camp check-in for all campers is on Monday between 8–8:30 a.m. at the Elementary School Building for 2nd–5th, and the Middle School Building for 6th–8th.

Drop-off each day will be from 8–8:30 a.m. at the Elementary school for 2nd–5th, and the Middle school for 6th–8th.

What to do When You Arrive

When you arrive on campus, follow the signs to the Elementary school for 2nd–5th, and the Middle school for 6th–8th for check-in on Monday morning. Camp staff will meet you and give the camp T-shirt as well as share a schedule for the week.

All supplies needed for camp will be provided unless otherwise noted in each specific camp information.

Please note: BJU cannot be responsible for money, valuables or personal articles.

What to Wear

Long athletic shorts, jeans or pants, and T-shirts are the normal camp attire. Tennis shoes are recommended.

Lunch will be served in our dining common in an all-you-can-eat buffet style. Any food concerns (allergies, diet restrictions, etc.) can be noted in the online registration form.

Cell Phone Policy

Cell phones and personal devices are to be dropped off at the check-in desk for safekeeping and they can be picked up when your child is being checked out.

Dr. Paul Radford

Paul Radford has been creating immersive learning experiences and initiating artistic collaborations for over 15 years. He holds a PhD in Communication, teaches on the Communication faculty at BJU and leads study-abroad ventures.

David Miller

David Miller

David Miller has worked in bakeries for over 30 years. For 10 of those years, he owned and operated a local bread bakery. David is a culinary arts instructor at BJU.
