Introduce your camper to the wonderful world of basic baking and pastry arts.  Under the guidance of local industry bakers, age appropriate activities include creating cookies and cupcakes, producing bread and pies, decorating cakes as well as some savory baking. This is one sweet week you do not want to miss!

Arrival/Departure

When to Arrive

Camp check-in for all campers is on Monday between 8-8:30 a.m. at the Elementary school for 2nd-5th, and the Middle school for 6th-8th.

Drop-off each day will be from 8-8:30 a.m. at the Elementary school for 2nd-5th, and the Middle school for 6th-8th.

What to do When You Arrive

When you arrive on campus, follow the signs to the Elementary school for 2nd-5th, and the Middle school for 6th-8th for check-in on Monday morning. Camp staff will meet you and give the camp T-shirt as well as share a schedule for the week.

When to Depart

Pick-up each day will be from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the Applied Studies Bldg. (Elementary school for 2nd-5th, and the Middle school for 6th-8th)

All supplies needed for camp will be provided unless otherwise noted in each specific camp information.

Please note: BJU cannot be responsible for money, valuables or personal articles.

What to Wear

Long athletic shorts, jeans or pants, and T-shirts are the normal camp attire. Tennis shoes are recommended. Swimsuits for girls should be one-piece garments.

Lunch will be served in our dining common in an all-you-can-eat buffet style. Any food concerns (allergies, diet restrictions, etc.) can be noted in the online registration form.

Cell Phone Policy

Cell phones and personal devices are to be dropped off at the check-in desk for safekeeping and they can be picked up when your child is being checked out.

Dr. Dave Miller

Dave Miller has been working in food service for over 28 years. In addition to teaching Culinary Arts at BJU, he operates a small bread bakery furnished with a wood-fired oven. His past experience includes Swamp Rabbit Grocery and Cafe, Rocky Creek Bakehouse, Publix Supermarkets and Stax International Bakery.
