Start your journey in business by learning accounting, the language of business! A solid start in accounting opens many doors in the world of business—everyone hires accountants! Future executives, entrepreneurs and trusted advisors often start their careers in accounting. God has given each of us stewardship over the time and money He has entrusted to us. The skills you will learn in this camp are employable and applicable to future business courses.
Everyone can learn accounting—organized people, creative people and people people—whichever one you are (or a combination!). You just have to be willing to learn! Come explore how to glorify the Lord through a career in accounting!
Each action-packed day at accounting camp is different. You will learn to think like an accountant and understand financial concepts. Feedback from Christian accountants will help you direct your ideas in useful ways. You will be challenged to do new things you didn’t know were possible. And there will be some things you don’t expect!
Activities
- Use Excel to prepare basic financial statements.
- Learn to accurately record transactions the way accountants do.
- Learn to think like an accountant by using evidence and data, even when an answer is not certain.
- Learn from Christian accounting professionals and business owners.
- Identify a company to analyze and work in a team to see how the company is doing financially.
- Learn how to communicate your ideas in a business presentation.
- Grow spiritually through Bible challenges about your life as a steward of God’s resources.
- Leave better prepared to make a difference in the world for God’s glory.
General Information
Arrival/Departure
When to Arrive
Camp check-in for all campers is on Sunday between 2–4 p.m. at the Welcome Center.
Day camp drop-off each day will be from 8–8:30 a.m. at the Welcome Center.
What to do When You Arrive
When you arrive on campus, follow the signs to the Welcome Center to check-in. Our camp counselors will give you your camp schedule and camp T-shirt. If you have a camp balance, you can take care of it at this time.
When to Depart
Day Camp pick-up each day will be from 4:30–5 p.m. in the Welcome Center. Camps generally end on Friday at noon. Check your specific camp schedule for times of final presentations, performances or concerts that may take place after noon on Friday.
Day Campers
Day campers must live in or stay with family in the immediate Greenville area.
Campers may be required to be on campus from 8:30 a.m.–9 p.m. on camp days. Check your camp schedule for specific details.
Day campers can also enjoy a fun highlight of our camp experience, the Bruins Bash, on Wednesday from 7–9 p.m.
Lunch and dinner are included in the camp cost.

Phones may be used at certain time during the week of camp depending upon activities.
A modest amount of spending money is suggested for The Den, vending machines and Bruins Shop.

Overnight Campers:
- Twin bedding or a sleeping bag and pillow

- Towels and shower shoes

What to Wear
Girls: For general camp activities, knee-length shorts or loose pants (yoga-type pants would not be appropriate) are normal camp attire. Tank tops, low cut tops, or crop top styles will not be permitted.
Guys: For general camp activities, shorts or pants with a T-shirt are normal camp attire.
Accommodations
Lunch will be served in our dining common in an all-you-can-eat buffet style. Any food concerns (allergies, diet restrictions, etc.) can be noted in the online registration form.

Dr. Andrew Cropsey
Andrew Cropsey's experience ranges from small business start-up to work for a Fortune 1000 company as an accounting and financial recruiter. He has over 20 years of experience in CPA firms and advising small businesses.
He has been teaching accounting for more than 15 years and enjoys helping students understand the underlying principles of accounting and how they can be effectively applied in the business world.
