Delve into the foundational principles of biblical leadership. Explore different styles of leadership and how to apply each one. Learn what makes a good leader, and put that knowledge to use with team building exercises, role playing, case studies and activities so you can be a better example at school and at home.

At EDUcamp you’ll benefit from daily devotionals and Bible challenge sessions that will strengthen your faith and help you develop a strong biblical worldview. Camp instructors will demonstrate how you can glorify God by using each new skill.

Activities

  • Learn how to leading others by serving.
  • Lead peers in group activities.
  • Work together with a team on projects.
  • Go on an outdoor leadership field trip to a state park.
  • Meet leaders making a difference in their community.
  • Grow spiritually through devotions and Bible challenges.

General Information

Arrival/Departure

When to Arrive

Camp check-in for all campers is on Monday between 8 and 8:30 a.m. in the Welcome Center.

All campers may be dropped off at the Welcome Center each morning at 9 a.m.

What to do When You Arrive

When you arrive on campus, follow the signs to the Welcome Center. Our camp counselors will give you your camp schedule and camp T-shirt. If you have a camp balance, you can take care of it at this time.

When to Depart

Campers may be picked up each day after the final scheduled event.

What to Bring

What to Bring

Bring clothes to play sports and hike in, tennis shoes, water bottle, a more professional outfit option, an iPad/computer/smartphone would be helpful but it not required.

Phones may be used at any time during the week of camp.

A modest amount of spending money is suggested for The Den, vending machines and Bruins Shop.

Please note: BJU cannot be responsible for money, valuables or personal articles.

What to Wear

Girls: For general camp activities, knee-length shorts or pants (yoga-type pants would not be appropriate) are normal camp attire. Clothing with a low neckline in front or back should not be worn (tank tops are not appropriate). The midriff area should be covered at all times (including when sitting down or bending over). For those wishing to take part in the pool activities, please bring appropriate swimwear.

Guys: For general camp activities, shorts or pants with a T-shirt are normal camp attire. For those wishing to take part in the pool activities, please bring appropriate swimwear.

Accommodations

Lunch will be served in our dining common in an all-you-can-eat buffet style. Any food concerns (allergies, diet restrictions, etc.) can be noted in the online registration form.

Chelsea Fraser

Mrs. Chelsea Fraser is member of the BJU Communication Studies faculty. She teaches Leadership and Communication and oversees Oral Communication for the Professional, the second of two core communication courses for University students. Mrs. Fraser has held numerous leadership positions as a college student and young professional and actively pursues leadership development. She is currently planning on beginning a doctorate in leadership in the next year.
