At Junior Art & Design EDUcamp, you’ll be immersed in the creative world—and get an exciting introduction to career opportunities as well. You can tailor your EDUcamp experience by choosing from workshops ranging from digital drawing to sculpture.

At the end of the week we'll showcase the art that you and your fellow campers have created, along with a brief awards presentation. Your family and friends are welcome to attend!

General Information

Arrival/Departure

Camp check-in for all campers is on Monday 8 and 9 a.m. in the Welcome Center.

For the rest of the week, campers may be dropped off at the Welcome Center each morning at 9 a.m.

What to Bring

What to Bring

Campers should bring a sketchbook, 8G flash drive, Bible, notebook and pencil for daily Bible challenges and devotional sessions.

Phones may be used at any time during the week of camp. A modest amount of spending money is suggested for The Den, vending machines and Bruins Shop.

Please note: BJU cannot be responsible for the loss of money, valuables or personal articles.

What to Wear

Girls: For general camp activities, knee-length shorts or pants (yoga-type pants would not be appropriate) are normal camp attire. Clothing with a low neckline in front or back should not be worn (tank tops are not appropriate). The midriff area should be covered at all times (including when sitting down or bending over). Guys: For general camp activities, shorts or pants with a T-shirt are normal camp attire.

Accommodations

Lunch will be served in our dining common in an all-you-can-eat buffet style. Any food concerns (allergies, diet restrictions, etc.) can be noted in the online registration form.

Sandy Mehus

Miss Sandy Mehus teaches art for grades 1–8 at Bob Jones Academy. She is also a freelance illustrator in both digital media and traditional board art. She has illustrated many stories for the BJU Press reading textbooks as well as several children's and young adult novels.
